This week it FINALLY felt warm! There have been very small hints of Spring in the last few weeks but this week, there was actual warmth. The trees and flowers started blooming and everything turned nice and green. I can’t even tell you how happy this makes me because I really thought it would never, ever get warm.
We started the week off with our final meeting with the florist. She put together a beautiful arrangement which kind of mocks my bridal bouquet. I LOVE it and cannot wait to see what the crew at Fleurtacious Designs comes up with for our big day. I also ventured through an incredible and historic district right across the bridge from where I grew up. The Stockade District dates back to the 1600’s with beautiful homes still standing from the 1600, 1700, and 1800’s. When I was young I took piano lessons in this neighborhood and sometimes my mom and I would drive around looking at the old houses before going back to school. And the biggest highlight of the week was celebrating my oldest friend’s Bridal Shower. We’ve been friends since Kindergarten and it is so special to share all of this wedding excitement with such a close pal. The weather was perfect and the outdoor venue was stunning. It went perfectly and the beautiful Bride really enjoyed herself which is all that matters. She is such a wonderful friend and I am so lucky to have her in my life. In just over 2 months we will all be jet-setting to the Azores to celebrate her and her soon-to-be Mr. I cannot wait!
