My sister sent me a wonderful gift last month – The Complete Magnolia Bakery Cookbook! And finally I made a recipe from it. Magnolia Bakery holds a special place in my heart as it reminds me of the amazing life I lived in NY with my sister and bff. One summer day after work I walked to Magnolia bakery for a cupcake then walked into Central Park. I parked myself on a bench by a summer league baseball game, ate my cupcake, and read a book. It is one of my favorite memories of summer in NYC which is why this gift from my sister is so amazing.
I wanted to try something different from the cookbook so I decided to go with their Raspberry Crunch Bars. I will make any dessert with raspberry…seriously. I love how the ingredients and process are simple. This is actually half of the recipe from the cookbook (which is made in a 12×18″ pan) so feel free to double the ingredients and you will have even more raspberry crunchy love. This recipe is light and refreshing – perfect for heading into the Spring and Summer (I think warm weather is coming?)
I hope you’re having a wonderful week. xx
