Nutella & Jam Pastries

Just a Sliver: Nutella Pastries

Here’s a really simple semi-homemade recipe for a delicious pastry. All you need is some puff pastry dough, a little Nutella, jam, and some confectioners’ sugar. This recipe is perfect for the busy holiday season when time is so limited! This pastry is impressive for guests and SO easy to put together. I love the combination of Nutella and Jam so for me it was a no-brainer to include them both. My darling D prefers just Nutella so I did some without Jam too. It’s really up to you to put whatever you want inside the pastries. I hope you enjoy 🙂Just a Sliver: Nutella PastriesJust a Sliver: Nutella PastriesJust a Sliver: Nutella PastriesJust a Sliver: Nutella Pastries

Nutella & Jam Pastries

Yield: 8 pastries

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry dough
  • About 4 tablespoons Nutella
  • About 4 teaspoons mixed berry jam
  • ½ cup confectioners' sugar
  • Water
  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Unroll one sheet of puff pastry dough.
  3. Cut the dough into 8 rectangles.
  4. Spoon about ½ tablespoon of Nutella on to each rectangle. Spread Nutella to cover about half the rectangle, without spreading too close to the edge (leave enough space to seal closed)
  5. Spread about ½ teaspoon of jam on top of the Nutella.
  6. Fold the pastry dough over to close each rectangle, press the edges together to seal.
  7. Using a knife, cut 3 small slits in the top of each pastry.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. While pastries are baking, make glaze: put confectioners' sugar in small bowl. Gradually add water and continue to stir until you reach the desired consistency. If it becomes to watery, add more sugar; if too thick, add more water. Set aside.
  10. Allow pastries to cool almost completely before drizzling glaze. Put glaze in small Ziploc bag, cut a small hole in the bottom corner and drizzle over pastries.
