Homemade [Chocolate Chip] Pancakes

Just a Sliver: Homemade Chocolate Chip PancakesI have no idea why it has taken me so long to blog this recipe because it makes the PERFECT pancake. A friend gave me this recipe when we lived in Germany (Thanks, AK!) and I have been using it ever since. It is so incredibly simple and tastes just like Bisquick or any other pre-made mix. You will never need to keep pancake mix in the house again! Of course, I added chocolate chips but this recipe can be made as regular homestyle pancakes or the base of any other type of pancake [how about blueberry?!] Enjoy these homemade pancakes for your next weekend brunch!Just a Sliver: Homemade Chocolate Chip PancakesJust a Sliver: Homemade Chocolate Chip Pancakes

  1. Beautiful pictures! I don’t know why, but it’s been way too long since I’ve made pancakes, and now you’ve got me wanting some!

  2. Looks fantastic! May have to make some of these on Saturday.

  3. Yeah! I love Just a Sliver! ;-) We make these almost every Saturday in Germany, with their awesome whipping cream!

  4. Do you think this recipe would work as a waffle batter, as well?

    • Hi Erin! I haven’t used this batter to make waffles yet but from the research I’ve done it should work. Some would suggest adding a bit of shortening to help the batter rise if making belgium waffles. Thanks for the comment!
